Process Improvement - current project, ongoing
Brief: As a charity with constrained income, how can we make informed investment decisions in events? What frameworks, insights, and lessons learned can be applied to assess potential impact, cost-effectiveness, and strategic value - the Return on Investment (ROI) - ensuring that each event maximises return for both the organisation and its beneficiaries?
I am currently leading the development of a framework and development of digital processes to support informed investment decisions in events. The aim is to identify approaches that maximise both strategic and operational value, ensuring that each event delivers measurable impact for the organisation and its beneficiaries.
Through user research, I am developing a series of artefacts designed to guide decision-making and engage key stakeholders throughout the process. These include surveys to capture perspectives and priorities, affinity mapping to synthesise findings and identify patterns, and service blueprints to visualise event workflows, touchpoints, and organisational dependencies. By combining these tools with workshops and collaborative sessions, I am embedding structured, evidence-based insights into strategic conversations, helping senior leaders assess potential impact, cost-effectiveness, and organisational alignment.
The process is being developed iteratively, positioning the charity to make informed, repeatable decisions about events while fostering cross-team engagement, operational efficiency, and long-term learning.
